SOLARFOUR LLCSOLARFOUR LLC is a proud partnership of professionals from the consulting and construction disciplines focused on the sales, installation, and maintenance of the highest quality solar systems. They provide turnkey solutions for residential, commercial, and government customers. Their goal is to become the premier provider of simple and green energy technologies that benefit their community by making tomorrow’s innovations today’s standard.

Owners Joseph Sanchez and Mary Haberl, have established a solar solutions company that has received local and regional awards that reflect their deep commitment to promoting the renewables market in Virginia, while looking to its surrounding states for inspiration and opportunity. The company has won 16 awards for innovation, technology, best new business, gold and silver from the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce Green Business Award for most improved business.

At their core, they are passionate about building a business based on values, love of innovation, and use of research to provide the best solution with quality products from top-tier companies. Each project begins with education and focuses on customer goals.

The business is in its fifth year, and education continues to be a primary component. Mary and Joe have spoken in schools, at conferences, and at countless community events. They have sponsored award-winning energy forums, and with others, contributed as writers to the new Virginia Energy Plan.

Their solar, legislative, and a broader industry experience has led to a plan for the future that includes working with leadership in BEA Energy House (EH). Their connection with EH has proven to be a welcome challenge and a rewarding partnership.

Their work on Energy House 10 on Quay Street in Old Town Alexandria is a smaller project that combines function and beauty. The level of solar power generation targets the remaining electricity usage once all other Energy House solutions have been integrated. The array composition makes use of both flat and sloped roof space, integrating the new dormer roof into the design. The modules, rails, and hardware are all black to complement the new charcoal slate-composite shingles. The array includes powerful 280W modules with EnPhase microinverters to eliminate the need for equipment in limited basement space and to give the owners online access to system performance.
