Man of the Year
Energy House National Man of the Year
President Emmanuel Macron – Outstanding Leadership
Although the rest of the world — and much of the United States — has continued working to meet the Paris commitments, French President Emmanuel Macron called Trump’s decision “very bad news” and cautioned against complacency. In opening remarks Tuesday, he minced no words. “We’re losing the battle,” he said. “We’re not moving quickly enough. We all need to act.” “Help make our planet Great Again”
Donald Trump was our number 2, not for same reasons as the #1, rather for his lack of leadership and as a result has galvanized the anti-climate activism into high gear. Intended or not he has influenced the movement.
ENERGY HOUSE LOCAL MAN OF THE YEAR
Jim Pierobon– Energy efficiency advocate – Great friend to all that he has touched.
The Founder of The Energy Fix is Jim Pierobon, a career-long advocate of lower-emitting sources of power generation and smarter grids. Jim works with various energy concerns through his consultancy, Pierobon & Partners LLC. He is a former Chief Energy Writer for the Houston Chronicle and has co-managed the energy and environmental practice at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in Washington and New York City. Energy System of the Future
A microgrid is a discrete energy system consisting of distributed energy sources (including demand management, storage, and generation) and loads capable of operating in parallel with, or independently from, the main power grid.
The Community Microgrid: Greener, Brighter Energy
“Put the power of local energy choice into your own hands”
Brooklyn Microgrid (BMG) is a living example of how our technologies can revolutionize the energy model within a community. BMG operates by augmenting the traditional energy grid, letting participants tap into community resources to generate, store, buy, and sell energy at the local level. This model makes clean, renewable energy more accessible, and keeps the community resilient to outages in emergencies, among many other economic and environmental benefits. Best example of a local startup of Microgrids that one day may sweep the country.
2017 SPECIAL SHOUTOUTS TO:
The Best Has Yet To Come

Special recognition to all those solar professionals that have worked so hard to bring the cost of solar down to where it is now competitive with all the other energy sources.
Ductless Heating Cooling & Dehumidification
Ductless mini-splits have a distinct method of operation and offer unique benefits to home and business owners, but will the pros of mini-splits push them to the forefront of the air conditioning industry and position them as the most widely-used kind of air conditioner in the not-too-distant future?
The EH team are big believers in the use and future of the mini split technology. In one of our jobs we used just one unit to provide most of the heating and cooling in a 2000 sf space and the cost of the electrical for the facility was just $50/month. The mini split was measured in its use and the electrical used was equivalent to two 60 watt light bulbs. Let us show you how these units will not only change how your consider HVAC s for your space but can lower your bills substantially.
